HR Recruiter/Generalist
The HR Technical Recruiter/Generalist is responsible for
delivering all facets of the recruiting success and providing human resource
services to Universal Instruments for both its Conklin and Rochester
facilities. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans,
and employing new, creative recruiting ideas along with traditional sourcing
strategies and resources. Responsibilities include the identifying, qualifying,
and referring of applicants for key technology-focused positions in UIC
The role will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible
talent and requires experience in identifying and qualifying
engineering/scientific talent across all engineering disciplines. The incumbent
must be experienced in technical recruiting of both recent graduates and
experienced engineers and must be able to use resume databases, in addition to
other resources, to surface passive candidates whose backgrounds match the
current or future needs of the business. This position reports to the Global HR
+ Work in collaboration with hiring managers on
recruiting needs/planning and understand the specifics of the technical roles
and skills needed.
+ Work with hiring managers to create and modify

job descriptions as necessary.

+ Efficiently and effectively, fill open positions
by sourcing and identifying both passive and active candidates for current key
openings and potential positions using all available resources.

+ Able to understand UIC technology to accurately
represent the company and employment opportunities with candidates.

+ Post jobs on current and new job boards,
websites and other media to lead candidates to UIC recruiting portals.

+ Foster long-term relationships with candidates
and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.

+ Communicate with managers and employees
regularly to determine effectiveness of recruiting, establish rapport, gauge
morale, and source new candidate leads.

+ Coordinate and attend college recruitment and
career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.

+ Review applicants to evaluate if they meet
requirements and conduct pre-screen interview.

+ Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview
data in the appropriate system (s).

+ Perform reference checks and initiate background
checks for potential employees.

+ Set up interview appointments and make travel

+ Process expense reimbursements.

+ Prepare offer packages.

+ Improve the recruiting process to decrease time,
improve quality and reduce costs.

+ Perform other special projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

+ 3-5 years of experience in hunting to fill
positions vs. sourcing.

+ 3-5 years experience in recruiting of technical
talent for a high-tech manufacturer.

+ Broad knowledge of internet recruiting platforms
and posting boards and experience using them to fill positions.

+ Microsoft Office Suite knowledge/experience and
ATS (ADP, Taleo)

Physical Demands:

+ Requires
the ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.

+ May have to
remain stationary for extended periods, but also needs to be mobile enough to
navigate through work areas.

+ Requires
the ability to communicate clearly in giving presentations.

+ Must be
able to communicate clearly with fellow workers.

+ Occasional
travel required for college recruiting efforts, Rochester facility, etc.
