Paragon Systems is hiring for the position of Lieutenant to support our contract in Pittsburgh, PA. Any interested candidates must be individuals of unquestionable integrity who display a mature attitude and exercise good judgment. The Lieutenant must ensure the effective, efficient and accurate operations of the following:



+ Handles the day to day operations of assigned guard force at assigned area, ensuring all contractual requirements are met


+ Schedules officers' time and minimizes overtime.


+ Ensures that posts are staffed and provides direct oversite of PSOs.


+ Maintains order and discipline of PSOs in accordance with established Rules of Personal Conduct and contractual agreements.


+ Ensures that officers have appropriate uniform and equipment.


+ Other duties as assigned



Job Requirements:


The Lieutenant must also meet the requirements listed below:



+ Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.


+ Must be an U.S. Citizen and read, write, and speak English.


+ 5 Years of demonstrated leadership experience


+ Must have a valid and current Pennsylvania license 235.


+ High school diploma or equivalent


+ Ability to use a computer is a MUST.


+ Must be able to pay full attention to detail, and be able to multi-task.


+ 3 years security experience or, 3 years Military (active duty or Reserve) or National Guard experience, or successful completion of completion of Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course.


+ Must have supervisor and conflict management skills (problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills).


+ 2 years successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement)



LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION: Driver's license, Social security card or birth certificate, and any other certification (guard/clearance card, gun permit, OC permit Baton permit, CPR, First Aid.)


WORKING CONDITIONS: With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:



+ Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.


+ Shift work required.


+ Ability to remain on post up to four (4) consecutive hours without eating, drinking, or relieving bladder/bowels.


+ Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime.



HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:


Schedule will be discussed at the interview. Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required.

+ 2 years of armed security experience or, 2 years Military (active duty or Reserve) or National Guard experience, or successful completion of completion of Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course


+ Must have supervisor and conflict management skills (problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills).


+ 2 years successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement, military service, or commercial/industrial security guard service).
